Ever since I studied architecture I’ve loved drawing​.​ ​Especially shading, creating depth and layers by applying many small lines​ and scribbles. I’ve tried to recreate this same effect with my sewing machine. This gives all the artworks in the SUN series a unique touch, texture, and added depth.

SUN 08 has beautiful deep, warm colours like mocha brown and dark burgundy red. It is made of upholstery fabric cut-offs over which a pattern is stitched with a sewing machine. Because the stitching is hand-embroidered, every SUN is unique
Size: 80 x ​85 cm, framed in a plain wooden box frame.
Transport costs: ​s​hipping is not included in the price. Of course, you’re always welcome to pick it up in Vught yourself​ (and have a coffee with me).
